Teaser Tuesdays--Catching Fire

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly event hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Here is how it works.

  • Grab your current read

  • Open to a random page Share 2 or 3 “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page

  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

  • Share the title & author, too, so that others can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm just now getting around to starting Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins! So far it's great, I might add!

"If a pack of wild dogs were to appear at this moment, the odds of scaling a tree before they attacked are not in my favor. I should get up, move around, and work the stiffness from my limbs." pg. 3

So there you have it, my Teaser Tuesday! Now it's your turn! What are you reading and have any quotes caught your attention more than the next...?

21 Witty Remarks!:

Nice teaser! I still have this one in my TBR. I'm still afraid to open it up. LOL

Thanks for the comment on my photo-meme thingy. I was thinking of tagging you (you're probably glad I didn't), but I thought maybe you'd be too busy with the move and such.

I'm so glad your back! (You're back right?) :)

Hi, Krista! I can't wait to read your thoughts about this book. I've read this book last month and I absolutely loved it! By the way, I'm on team Peeta.

Hi Krista. Wish I could participate in this but I left my copy back in Michigan with my daughter.
I love these books. I've read all of Collins' Gregor the Overlander too and really enjoyed them as well. Of course, the Hunger Games series is much more adult and intense. I can't stand how she left things in Catching Fire. I'm so worried for....well, you know who. Any word on the third and when it will hit the bookstores?
