So yeah, I know I haven't been around lately to visit all my favorite blogs so sorry guys you are all awesome and I will try my very best to be a better follower! :)

Things have just been quite crazy around here with all the holidays and work. I also just got back from a week long Vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, which was so very cool. I had a lot of fun and had many new experiences!

Went skiing for the first time ever, and I tell you, it was so much fun! It was my two brothers, my lil' brothers girlfriend, and me. All of us newbies, and, of course, we were all way too cool to take skiing lessons. lol. Well, we were all in the practice area trying to figure out what we were doing and how these big boots and skis worked. It was pretty easy to get going, turn, head down the small hill, and slide to a stop at the bottom, right. Yeah, so after I, and seriously only me, actually slid down the hill a few times I was so ready to go up the lift! I asked my brothers if they were ready and they said " Heck no, are you crazy!" lol, and all of them were seriously too chicken to go up at all! I couldn't believe it, so I just went on my own. I got in line for the lift, let it take me to the top of the Newbie section, which is still pretty high up there if I do say so myself, and then I got off. So now there's only one way down.... I went for it, I got around the first curve, then the second one, and here I come down this crazy amazing hill and I'm flying! But then all you can see are tons of people just standing at the bottom TALKING with their skis and snowboards on, and I felt like they were yelling at me saying, "Come on, I dare you to hit me in the back!" lol. So yeah, I'm flying down this huge hill trying my best to slow down and hopping I stop before I hit a few people. Well, stopping ends up to be a pretty easy task to do when you completely bomb out at the bottom! At least I had a few feet to spare before I hit anyone, however, I can't say the same for my skis! Hey, falling stopped me, but it didn't stop me from wanting to go back up that lift again and again to feel that awesome rush, and me and the snow becoming one. :) After my first time down My brother and his girlfriend saw the whole thing, of course, and still they weren't so sure until I got up and said "WHOA, that was so much fun!! I'm so going again!!!" I guess once they seen me, their sister, making it down okay and alive they felt they could brave it out. :) My lil' brother didn't even fall once!!!(he was going down like a granny, though, I'd say!) ha-ha. The only way I knew how to stop was by falling!lol. Man, I had so much fun till I twisted my ankle! It hurt, but I said whatever, and went SNOW TUBING! Now that was awesome, too!!!

So who wants to hear about my first Horse Back Riding Experience????

18 Witty Remarks!:

I love the Smoky Mountains. I've been several times, but I've never been skiing there. Dixie Stampede's pretty sweet, and so is the artsy section back behind Gatlinburg. And no GSM trip would be complete without a pancake house and some mini golf. Now I want to go down there.

I'm glad you had fun! Take care.

There you are! Did you have a nice holiday? We've been missing you around here!

You read a lot of books last year...great job! I'm joining a TON of challenges this year so hopefully my count will go up.

We are going to be reading Partners in Crime by Agatha Christie for #TuesBookTalk on Twitter starting on January 19th. We'll be discussing a story per week. #TuesBookTalk is every Tuesday at 11 pm ET (10pm CT). I couldn't remember if you had ever joined us before, but I thought you might be interested.

Welcome back and Happy New Year =O)

Welcome back, stranger! I would love to read about your equestrian escapades...!

LOL!!! I am so glad to hear you had a wonderful time. You deserve a great break and some fun. I have not been skiing in years. I would probably have to start over on the bunny slopes and wear pillows to help cushion the falls. lol...

You have quite a list of books there! I don't think I have read any where near that many books. I can't really even figure it out for 2009. But I will be able to track them here in 2010.

Do you think you may be back around regularly? I was hoping here in the next month or two we may be able to get back into our discussion reads. I really enjoy doing it. But if you are still busy with things that is great! I have tons of books to read too.

Glad to see you around! Hope to see ya around more.

I am so impressed with your list, Krista. You did some serious reading there gal.
Sounds like you were out to experience life with gusto. Hat's off to you for giving it all a try and then some. I too would like to hear more about your equine adventures. Glad you made it back in one piece.

@logankstewart-- Thanks and yeah, I love The Smoky Mountains now, too, and seriously it had to be the best vacation I have ever had!!! I didn't go to this Dixie, though, I've been to the one in Myrtle many times... I did, however, go to Dolly World! Now that was fun the only bad thing was, because it was snowing, most the rides were closed. But that was okay, 'cause it was much too cold for ridin'em anyway. lol

@thetruebookaddict-- Hey Deb!!! I've missed all you guys, too!! :) I had a wonderful holiday this year though I've had a few rough bumps to go over, but who hasn't, eh? Lol :) How about yours?

Yeah, I hope I can read as much this year but who knows. lol Good luck with those challenges this year! I may have to find one I like and think I could actually finish. :) And thank you for letting me know about those discussions I will have to see about joining in. :) Happy New Year to you, as well!!

@Logan,
Haha yes a stranger I have been! :) And lol I'll have to dig my horse escapade out just for you! :)

Melissa (My World)-- Hey, MEL!! Haha, yeah it was a blast and I can't help but laugh when I think about it! :)
Haha butt cushions would probably work for snowboarding, but skiing, it's like your legs play twirlies with your skis! LOL!

Yeah, this year I was reading like a mad woman! haha But now that I've been working A LOT I haven't had as much time to read so who knows what this year holds for me... :) And yes, I will definitely let you know when I can do a book discussion I have been missing them and you guys!!! :)

Crystal-- Hey Crystal!! Yes, I can honestly say I enjoyed every single one of them, too! I didn't read a book I didn't like... how cool is that! haha:)

And you should definitely go skiing it is so much fun!!:)

The Art of Kim Kincaid--- Hey Kim!! There were just so many good books I found this year and when they're good I can fly right through them! lol :) Yeah, I'm not one that likes to just sit around and watch everyone have fun.... I gotta get in on the action! LOL! Equine adventures sure to come! :)

Ryan G--- Hey, Ryan!! I've missed you too! :)My skiing adventure was a lot of fun! :) Oh, I will have to stop by the Kingdom for sure!! The fun we will have!! :)

Juju at Tales of Whimsy,
Hey JuJu!!! I have missed you too and thank you, girl!! :)
