Teaser Tuesday.....

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly event hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.

  • Here is how it works.
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page Share two (2 or 3) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that others can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

I'm reading The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie

If Logen had been the one clinging to Shanka's foot, he would most likely have thought, "My life depends on this leg I'm hanging from--best not take my chances." A man would rather save himself than kill his enemy. Trouble was that the Shanka didn't think that way, and Logen knew it.

I'm reading The Discworld Grahpic Novels - The Colour of Magic and The Light Fantastic by Terry Pratchett! See the inside here

"Great A'Tuin the Turtle comes, swimming through the interstellar gulf.... Through sea-sized eyes, he stares fixedly at the destination. In a brain bigger than a city, he thinks only of the weight. Most of the weight is, of course, accounted for by Berilia, Tubul, Great T'phon, and Jerakeen, on whose star-tanned sholders the Disc of the world rests."

This is a picture of the scene of my Teaser Tuesday. Awesome, eh?

I'm reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman!

"There was a hand in the darkness, and it held a knife. The knife had a handle of polished black bone, and a blade finer and sharper than any razor."

So begins The Graveyard book!

(P.S. I've been super busy this past week, so I'll try this week to get a review or two up. We will see.... Thanks for stopping by!)

I'm re-reading The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss!

"This is who I came to see, Chronicler thought to himself, this is the man who conseled kings and walked old roads with nothing but his wit to guide him. This is the man whose name has become both praise and curse at the University."
(pg.103-104, Great book!)

"Names are important as they tell you a great deal about a person. I've had more names than anyone has a right to."
